Ford August sales were up 0.4 percent total and 2 percent retail, marking the best August in eight years for the Detroit automaker.

Rather than riding on the success of a single model, multiple vehicles highlighted the company’s August sales, including the Fusion, Escape, and Explorer, which you can all find at Gurley Motor Company.

It goes without saying that the F-Series should also be on that list, though after six consecutive months of 60,000+ vehicle sales, we wonder if anyone ever actually doubts the success of America’s best-selling pickup truck.

The Fusion had its best August ever since it launched in 2005, with sales totaling 29,452 vehicles, marking a 19 percent increase. Retail sales were up in every region, though the car is especially popular in the west where it was up 27 percent.

The Escape sold 28,996 vehicles, marking a 9 percent increase and a new August record in both retail and total sales. Meanwhile, the Explorer sold 17,748 vehicles for a 25 percent increase, putting it on track to be America’s best-selling midsize utility for the fourth consecutive year.
