Consumers have spoken; this year’s Kogod Made in America Auto Index puts the Ford F-150 in the number one spot. Tied with the Chevrolet Corvette, this makes the F-150 series the number one truck purchased that is American Made.
Kogod’s index is calculated from several different criteria scores per vehicle. Profit margin, labor, research & development, inventory, capital, and other expenses are the first criteria. Next is the location of assembly for the engine, transmission, body, interior, chassis, electrical and other. Finally, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s AALA “Domestic Content” Score is factored in.
Based on these criteria, the Ford F-150 series pickup scored 87.5 out of a possible 100. Since Ford is a U.S. company with all labor and research & development on the Ford F-150 taking place in the U.S, it received several perfect scores.
Does knowing that the Ford F-150 is made right here in the U.S. help you make a purchasing decision? Stop in to Gurley Motor Company and check out our great selection of Ford F-150 series pickup trucks!
