Showcasing the best of Ford engineering, the new Ford GT utilizes groundbreaking engineering and technology. A new aerodynamic design, carbon-fiber body, and EcoBoost engine make the famous supercar better than ever.
So when does this GT hit the market? Although we’ll be seeing it as early as next year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ford GT race cars, Ford hasn’t given a global release date other than “before 2020.” Sorry adrenaline junkies, you might just have to wait a few years.
“As we at Ford drive innovation into every part of our business, it’s worth remembering that our first innovation as a company was not in a laboratory, but on the racetrack,” said Mark Fields, Ford president and CEO. “We are passionate about innovation through performance and creating vehicles that make people’s hearts pound.”
Ford GT performance is incredible, featuring a RWD system, a mid-mounted engine, and an aerodynamic and sleek design. Not only that, but it will utilize lightweight materials like aluminum and carbon-fiber for most of the body, and a twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 will generate over 600 hp. Not only does the new GT look fantastic, but it’s got the power to go along with it.
