2015 Ford Mustang celebrates 50th Mustang Anniversary

If you haven’t yet seen the brand new 2015 Ford Mustang Convertible, you’re definitely missing out. Not only was it unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show in January, but it is also featured in the upcoming film, Need for Speed. Celebrating 50 years of the Mustang, Ford wants to make sure that the new convertible stands above the rest, so they are showcasing it atop the Empire State Building.

Since there’s no easy way to park the new drop top Mustang on the building’s observation deck, Ford has decided the only option is to cut it into pieces so that it will fit in the elevators of the Empire State Building. Once the pieces complete their journey up 86 floors, a team will have just 6 hours to assemble it before it will be available for 54 hours of public viewing.

This isn’t the first time Ford has had this crazy idea, this is actually a recreation of the unveiling of the original Mustang convertible during the 1964 World’s Fair.

What do you think of the new topless 2015 Ford Mustang being on display atop the Empire State Building? Will you be in NYC on April 16-17 to check it out? We can’t wait to get this great looking 2015 Ford Mustang in at Gurley Motor Company!
