Ford won’t settle for the fact that the F-150 is one of the most popular trucks on the market, continuously trying out bold, new ideas on the high-demand favorite. The latest edition of the F-150 shed serious pounds by switching to a mostly aluminum body, and now Ford is offering yet another new F-150.
According to recent reports, Ford will be releasing a 2016 F-150 model that runs on natural gas or propane, with the simple acquisition of a $315 factory-installed package. The F-150 will be the only half-ton pickup truck with which this is possible.
Ford reportedly made the decision based on consumer tests that said that many buyers would appreciate the lower-cost fuel option, and as usual, Ford did is doing their best to comply.
