If you’ve ever seen a 1967 Ford Mustang, then you probably noticed the nifty turn signal indicators it had embedded in the hood vents.
And if you took note of them, then we don’t doubt you’ve been wondering when they’d ever make a comeback. We’ve been wondering too at Gurley Motor Company, and who could blame us? They’re just so darn cool.
Now, nearly half a century after the first iteration, Ford seems to have heard our pleas. For the 2016 model, the Mustang GT will come standard with hood vent turn signals along with several other throwback options.
The California Special Package and Pony Package, two iconic Mustang trim levels that were all the rage in the 60s, are making a comeback with the 2016 Mustang fastback and convertible, as well as new stripes and wheels.
