The mid-size pickup segment has seen a big boost over the past few years. So much so that Ford is bringing back its beloved Ranger model. The new Ford Ranger will make its debut for the 2019 model year.
This truck may be smaller than its F-150 counterpart, but it still promises to deliver strong capabilities and an adventurous spirit. In fact, because it is smaller, you may find it is much better equipped to take you to hard to reach places.
One exciting option that hasn’t been officially confirmed, is the strong likelihood that there will be a Ranger Raptor model that will take the truck’s off-road abilities to the max. This truck is currently on sale in Australia and Asia and looks like it is a ton of fun.
The overseas version of the Ranger Raptor rides higher and has a wider track than the standard pickup. In addition, it comes with Fox Racing shock absorbers, a rear bumper with a tow bar, recovery hooks, an underbody bash plate, and 17-inch exclusive wheels.
We would expect to see similar, if not the same, equipment if the Ranger Raptor reaches our shores. Ford officials have all but confirmed its U.S. appearance by discussing American powertrain options, and we can’t wait to see it arrive eventually at Gurley Motor Company.
